If anyone has some spart PC parts they don't need/want post em here. We have had threads like this several times before, but I never thought about making it a "sticky". Also if you have something you don't want to give away, but would be willing to sell, post that here also. I will start this with: 1 - Sound Blaster Live Value Card 1 - LinkSys PCI LAN card 1 - Rockwell ISA modem card 1 - Diamond PCI modem card All are in good working order. Software/drivers would have to be downloaded. Free to anyone who needs them.

It wieghs as much as a large television. I still owe Argyll 75 bucks for it - but it was too large for the small desk I have. Now it's taking up space and I really want it gone. I used UPS site to calculate from my home to Beverly Hills. It's the only US postal code I know Using UPS standard it would take about 2 weeks and cost 150 Canadian dollars. It is so big and heavy I'm not sure the best way to ship it. Do some looking dd and if you are serious about it I can split the cost if it is too much. We are planning to move this spring and if it's still here I am donating it to charity or something......... from my house to 95303 via UPS is 131.85 Canadian. Sending it via mail is more than the monitor is worth and I could drive to your place and back cheaper than fedex.

Let me talk to Gloria about this. You have the box and packing it came in? That would be quite a beast to pack.

Daddog, I tried shipping my friend a 19" CRT last year and when he received it the CRT had completely come apart from the plastic casing. It was kaput. So, unless you have the original box with correct styrofoam I would think twice. Just my two-cents.

Gave away my SoundBlaster Live Value card about a year or so ago to someone. LOL forgot who. Anyway the reason I could not talk to any of you guys last night is because I think my sound card is kaput. I found a 1991 Sound Blaster PCI card. Going to hook it up. If anyone has a SB Live Value card they are not using I will take it. If the old card does not work I will try the on board sound.

Never mind. I checked CMOS. The onboard audio was turned on for some reason. That causes a conflict with my sound card. Working fine now.

JK's in need of a better video card. Probably needs a whole new system. But his 64 mb intel chipset on the motherboard video is just not really cutting it for him. He talked to me about video settings, tried dropping his res, texture down, no change. He's only getting mid 20's in clear sky.
I suspect at this point it wouldn't have to be much of a card to have a big impact.
Anyone have a fairly decent AGP card laying around?
I'll I've got is my old (and I mean old) Voodoo 5500. Almost need someone to go take a look in his system for him.

I might. Let me look when I get home. I think I have an extra GeForce Ti4400. It will run AH pretty well.

Believe it or not, I run AH at 1280 x 1024 with all options turned on (512 tile size) using a TI4200. I get a rock solid 72-75 FPS. I do run a very clean machine - it is essentially only for AHII. No other software loads whatso ever (including virus protection by the way, since I don't have email on that PC and don't use a browser either). Running a clean machine is critical I think. I have about 13 or 14 processes in total running.
I was thinking of upgrading but can see little reason why.
I run a Intel 2.54 GHz on ASUS P4PE with 1 GB of RAM.

I have a GeForce 6600GT 256Mb AGP card available for a needy dawg..
I need a good audio card, my onboard is killing me, now it doesn't like the 51 engine sound and has been locking me up.
Also I will be cleaning out my office shortly and will most likely have a number of fully depreciated laptops (none of them gamey) available for 'donation'.

Dogma -- what speed's and feed are those laptops? I have a church that could use them if they are good enough to run normal word processing and business type applications.

I'll have to look at them... They are Dell Latitude C600 and 610's and a few IBM Thinkpad R31s. The company I work for is selling off its divisions and letting a lot of people go, so I will know more after the first.

Dogma I have an old Sound Blaster 16 sound card, but it only fits an ISA slot. Like I said old. It works great. I will send if it you want, but unless your MB is old it will not fit.

Also I have a MS Sidewinder FFB Pro if anyone wants it. The rudder's a little twitchy but otherwise ok.
I have a buttload of desktop and laptop RAM, like 3 bags of it... too much to list but if you need a RAM upgrade let me know...
Also I don't know how customs to Canadia is... anyone?
(I know I spelled Canadia wrong, it's a long story).
