Just read an article about the concept of the next BattleField game releasing later this year.

1. Free download.  Supported by microtransactions and in-game advertising. 
2. Easier game play / shorter missions
3. More cartoonish characters

Sounds like it will be a pass from me, but we'll have to see what the finished product actually will be.


PS:  DD, why is this forum in the o'club and not down with the other new forums?

Just Got My Beta Key For This A Couple of Days Ago, If you can live with the occasional server blackouts, then its fun.
The gameplay is a hoot, it is a good game for people who liked team fortress 2. All you need is a free gamespy account so you can get your beta key, and you also need a EA account, both are free to register. I would recommend giving it a try.
