Well, It hasn't been easy, but I do have a seat for the rest of the Western Endurance Racing Championship in a Spec Focus. We'll be in a class to compete against Honda's, Miatas, Nissan SERs, Acura and BMWs. Mainly Touring cars (2.8L or less).

My co-driver is a new driver I have been helping out the past two years, and now he's ready for Endurance Racing.

Out first race is April 26th and it's a 3 Hour Race.

In June we have a 6 hour race.

Also, is it normal for that muck junk/debris to be on the course?

Yes and No. This was a practice session and it was the first session of the day and it will get cleaned off as more cars get on the track.

That debris is rolled up rubber that has came off the race tires and off the racing line you'll see it a lot.

I had an 05 Mustang GT for a couple years, 5 speed manual.  Whoo that car was fun but it would get out from under you in a heartbeat if you weren't paying attention.  Now I have a 330xi and I can't get that thing to do anything stupid even if I try. It's like a slot car with tires made out of glue.

Are those Focuses (Focii?) AWD or FWD?

forHIM, they call those the marbles, you get up into the marbles on a corner and you're in trouble, they coat your tires and you lose traction in a bad way.

Congrats  ,  Boy I couldn't imagine racing for 6 hours.  I have a hard enough time concentrating on an autocross course.

Well, anything over 3 hours we have co-drivers. I'll split the 3 and 6 hour race in 1/2 with another driver. But anything after 40 minutes starts to get long.
