Hotel sounds great! Unfortunately for me I'm afraid someone would have to die before I could afford to come.

If any of you have never been to an AH Con I can promise you it's an experience you will never forget.
They are even better when you get to meet a few of your squaddies.

Not to mention the fact that I believed I will be doing a brisket amongst other things again this year. mmmmmmmm finger lickin' good Cajun cooking

Yea, who knew you could fit two people in a Hurricane 1 and still shoot down 109's.  Never knew this fact until I went to the con last year, always learning something

That FSO frame will truly be one I will never forget. I'd say that was some of the best team work ever accomplished in the game..LOL

Well I truly thought that there would be no way I'd be able to even consider coming to con again.

Then Wolfgang called said he wanted to come this year. Boy did that get me thinking.

Then my buddy Tank1 finally got part of his disability check. So we are looking at moving him into a different apartment, back on this side of the river. And in the process about talking about that somehow con came up again.
Now I'd of sworn that he'd never ever do AH con again. After all he's pretty quiet, doesn't say much to most people at the best of times.

So you could have knocked me over with a feather when he asked if we were going again.
So we talked it over a bit, we figure this year we'd bring one computer but 2 joysticks.
But going to a "good" hotel, seeing the crew again.

Well, ok, maybe.

Will depend on how many other mongrels are thinking about coming.
And I might need a bit of help.

But we are talking about it.

Midi? Coming back if possible?
Baumer, stop over at your house? Both ways perhaps this time?

I'm having a vacation with my sister who is coming over from England at the beginning of September  , so i don't think i will be able to go to the con.

I may try to come. I will know later in the year. I'm in the midst of a mid life crisis, is 40 mid life, right now and not sure what I want to be when I grow up. I know one thing for certain I don't want to spend another 300 days of the year on the road sleeping in a box on the back of a truck. Thinking of spending a year in the local tech school and learn to work on those trucks instead of drive them, at least get a piece of paper that says I'm qualified.

I would like to Ghosth, but we have been saving for months toward a Washington D.C. trip. Sondog who is in 8th grade (ya hard to believe) has a class trip to D.C. and we decided to save for both he and I. In any case the trip is in March/May. I doubt I will have time to save for the Con. Also wanted to do something fun with the family this summer. No idea what yet.

As much as I would like to go (especially to meet squadies I have not met) I doubt the funds will be there.

Well I'm just off a long skype talk with Wolfgang, followed by a phone call with Tank1.

Wolfgang has made us an offer too good to refuse.

So at this point it looks like Ghosth and Tank will be coming to Con again this year.
Tentatively at least, lots of time between here and then yet.

So make your plans accordingly!

Several of you I have yet to meet and would love to put faces to.

What is Skype?

Google it flushed, its a program that in some ways is similar to ventrillo, lets you talk computer to computer.

However you can also send text chat, with page URL's, send files, etc. Plus its an easy way to see who's online, etc.

As long as you don't use it to call telephones its free, some of us have been using it for years.
