To let everyone know. I have a full running iRacing race team. We started from the Inside SimRacing TV Party in April, and have continued to grow since then. The team name is Virtual Apex Racing or vApex Racing.  We just had a get together at Irwindale Speedway… with all of our team showing up.  Some of our members competed in for a chance to have a 20 lap race in a Super Late Model at Irwindale Speedway. It was based on lap times on iRacing in a Late Model at Irwindale. Wink With Nick Johnson for vApex Racing won the competition by beating Inside SimRacing TV Host Darin Gangi and Shaun Cole.

VApex is competing in the very highly competitive SSCA Team Challenge. SSCA is a private group that does host events within iRacing. SSCA was started by Darin Gangi, one of the host and producers of Inside SimRacing TV back in 1995.

In SSCA Team Challenge two car teams compete for $700. vApex is the only team to have two teams vApex Team White and vApex Team Red. Each team must have their own custom painted team cars. The car is the Riley Daytona Prototype. We are sponsored by Inside SimRacing TV and we might have an associate sponsor with Fanatec soon. As we continued to get recognized, we hope to add more sponsors as we go.

We have mainly been an all Southern California team, but are now looking for other members outside of California. Any of the Mongrels are more then welcome to join us. We are a solid team with a bunch of guys that gets along very well. We’re also very versatile where we race both road and oval racing…. We (like the Mongrels) recruit on personality… not skill and/or experience. If you’re new to iRacing… no problem.. We’ll teach you the vApex Way.

I really would like to Harppa. I'll have to wait a couple of weeks first before I can do that. I spend a lot of time iRacing now.

Sounds like fun. I have returned to work driving a big rig but would like to get back into iRacing. I just don't have the time anymore.

Well, vApex Racing has now been around for one year and still going strong. Plus iRacing keeps getting better and better..... Soon will have driver changes and will be able to have 6, 12 or 24 hour races. We are getting a Honda LMP2 Car and the Ford GT.  thumbsup

This current build now has night racing at Sebring, new track model and the new Nationwide car with new tire model.
